CONTRIBUTION TO THE PROTECTION OF THE ENVIRONMENT

  • We have undertaken roof rain water harvesting and the recycled water is mainly used for gardening and maintenance of vehicles. Water from the RO plant too is recycled.
  • A periodic check is undertaken to ensure there are no leakages in faucets or pipes.
  • Waste segregation is done at source.
  • Recycling of paper and solid waste is done ensuring proper disposal of electronic waste as well.
  • Efforts are taken to ensure minimum usage of paper by sending out e-circulars, conducting E- elections and surveys.
  • Tree plantation around the school campus is a regular annual programme.
  • Gardening is not only a club or an occasional venture but a regular feature where the children/staff reap the benefits of the produce.
  • Environment literacy is a part and parcel of the school curriculum and is effectively inculcated through various platforms and school programmes be it within the classroom or on a larger scale outside.
